Recent News – ADA class action against Philadelphia Federal Credit Union

Recently, attorneys from Kalikhman & Rayz, LLC initiated a class action against the Philadelphia Federal Credit Union (“PFCU”) for failing to maintain its facilities in the City of Philadelphia accessible to individuals with disabilities. As detailed in the complaint, which was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, PFCU has engaged in willful violations of the applicable provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. § 12101 et seq., and its implementing regulations, by flagrantly disregarding explicit requirements of reasonable accommodations necessary for the disabled (e.g., installing clearly-posted parking signs and designating access lanes for wheelchair-bound customers).
